Emily is a general psychologist who provides compassionate, person-centred care tailored to each individual’s unique needs. Having completed a Bachelor of Psychological Science with Honours, and recently a Master of Psychology, her extensive training has equipped her with a range of skills and knowledge of mental health and therapy. With experience across organisational settings, disability, and supporting adolescents and young adults, Emily has worked with diverse individuals experiencing challenges related to anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, self-esteem, family or relationship issues, and attachment issues. She is adept at working with a range of presentations including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Anxiety, Depression, and Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD). She offers evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), to support her clients in achieving their therapeutic goals and improving their mental health. Emily fosters a warm, empathetic, and safe environment where clients feel heard and safe sharing personal challenges. Hurryat Faniad

Psychologist

Hurryat Faniad is a Psychologist registered with AHPRA and is a member of the Australian Psychology Society (APS). He has completed Bachelor of Psychology (Honour) and Master of Clinical Psychology from Macquarie University and University of Western Sydney accordingly. Hurryat has extensive experience in providing clinical and psychosocial interventions to a diverse population of Adults living with wide range of mental and physical health conditions. Not to forget, he has been interested and experienced in providing assessment and therapy for children (6-16 year old) living with mental disorders such as Anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders and behavioural issues. Given that Hurryat has lived in many different countries overseas, he provides culturally sensitive and personalised therapy/service to clients from culturally and linguistically diverse background. He is fluent in five languages (Dari, Farsi “Persian”, Urdu, Hindi and English) and has extensive experience working with CALD patients. Hurryat has been interested and efficient in providing support to clients with mood disorders (e.g. depression, anxiety), substance abuse disorder, Pain management, PTSD, Anger issues, Stress-issues, Sleep disorders, eating disorders and more chronic disorders such as Schizophrenia and Bi-polar disorders. Hurryat has a holistic approach in providing psychological interventions; considering physical, social and financial stressors that could contribute to the overall mental health concerns. He utilises psychometrics and number of evidence-based psychological interventions to suit his clients and in reaching their therapeutic goals, which includes Cognitive Behavioural therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Motivational Interviewing and Solution-focused Therapy.

Marya Setrak

Psychologist

Marya’s passion for mental health stems from her childhood, as she spent her schooling years in a rural country town where access to mental health support and resources were limited. Thus, her main focus is to provide therapy in a collaborative way and help individuals create their own personalised, achievable and long-lasting solutions to manage their mental health. Marya has built a passion for working with individual presentations including Mood Disorders (e.g. Depression), Anxiety related disorders (including PTSD) and personality disorders. She has utilised a range of interventions, such as motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy and dialectal behaviour therapy to treat a wide range of presentations. She describes therapy as a rewarding experience and enjoys seeing her clients grow into independent individuals. Marya has a love for working with a diverse range of clients, of all ages and from all cultural backgrounds. She is bilingual and able to speak Arabic and English fluently. When she is not working, Marya enjoys spending time with her close family including her nieces and nephews, going to the gym or enjoying nature!

Michael Cheung

Psychologist

Michael is a Psychologist with extensive experience working with adolescents, families and adults who are experiencing emotional, social, behavioural and mental health difficulties. Michael has worked in a wide range of settings including private, public, research and community i.e. beyondblue, lifeline support services, headspace, disability services, Universities, the Department of Health and Quitline. Having spent much of his life overseas he has a culturally sensitive therapeutic approach. He also enjoys working with clients across the lifespan; from young adolescents to geriatrics. Michael has particular expertise in the assessment and treatment of adolescents with emotional difficulties. Michael works collaboratively with his clients to reach their treatment goals by providing individualised support, utilising psychometrics and evidence-based therapies. These include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Mindfulness. Momina is a dedicated psychologist with experience working with adolescents and adults up to retirement age. She has supported individuals with diverse psychological presentations, cultural backgrounds, distinct personal experiences, and varying personality types, tailoring her therapeutic approach to meet each client’s specific needs. Her primary areas of interest include stress and burnout, anxiety disorders, depression, and trauma. She utilises a range of evidence-based therapy modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing, to help clients navigate their challenges and foster personal growth. Known for her bubbly personality and warm presence, Momina fosters a safe, non-judgmental environment where clients can openly share their thoughts and emotions, allowing for deeper self-exploration and understanding of their behaviours. Her easy going and adaptable nature allows her to work at a pace that suits each individual, ensuring they feel heard and supported throughout their therapeutic journey. Fluent in English and proficient in Urdu/Hindi, she is able to connect with clients from diverse linguistic backgrounds. Neelab is a registered Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Agency (AHPRA) and has been in practice for 9 years. Specialising in mood disorders, anxiety and narcissistic abuse, she also covers a wide range of other issues, including, but not limited to anger management, depression, domestic abuse, relationship issues and woman’s issues. Neelab strives to create a safe and non-judgmental space for her clients to explore their innermost vulnerabilities, and get through the painful emotions, stories, and difficulties life throws their way. One of her greatest joys is when her clients feel understood and supported. She values the development of a strong therapeutic alliance as it’s of the utmost importance to treatment outcomes.
