Ayman Kassir

Psychologist

Ayman is a Registered Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia and a member of the Australian Psychological Society who has experience working with clients under various settings including Medicare, NDIS, EAP, Worker’s Compensation and CTP, and the private sector. Ayman is focused on helping his clients to build resilience and reach their full potential, working from a person-centred approach, which means that each client is highly involved in the development of their individual intervention and goals. His commitment to his clients is aimed at empowering them to enact the changes to enable them to live a valued and meaningful life. Ayman’s approach to therapy is collaborative, motivational and adaptive to individual needs, which enables him to engage and collaborate with clients of all backgrounds. His special interest also lies in helping his clients to overcome their stresses of modern society, particularly during times of transition and adjustment to new life circumstances. Ayman is SIRA accredited for Worker's Compensation and CTP Claim.

Christie Khoury

Psychologist

Christie is a registered Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia and a member of the Australian Psychological Society. She has over 20 years’ experience and has worked in a variety of settings. Most recently her focus has been on working with teenagers in both a school setting and in private practice. Christie also works with adults to assist in addressing mental health concerns and improve overall wellbeing. Christie believes that developing a positive therapeutic relationship is crucial to the effectiveness of treatment.

Hamid Waqar(He/him)

Psychologist

Hamid is a Registered Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia who has experience working with a diverse range of clients under various settings including school counsellor at a K-12 school, Worker’s Compensation and Occupation Rehabilitation assisting people overcome psychological injuries and psychological symptoms stemming from physical injuries. Hamid is SIRA accredited and works with clients under Worker’s Compensation and CTP Claim. Hamid loves following the NBA and playing competitive basketball as well as spending time outdoors on nature walks and gazing at the ocean.

Karen Leung(She/her)

Counsellor (Provisional)

Karen is a qualified counsellor and provisional Psychologist registered with the Australian Counselling Association and AHPRA. Karen has an easy-going and caring nature and believes in helping clients to develop short-term and long-term strategies to enable constructive changes for a more fulfilled and meaningful life through developing better insights, self-awareness and self-confidence. Karen is particularly passionate about helping people who are facing challenges or difficulties with self-esteem, anxiety, relationships, life goals and stress in their work and personal lives. She immensely enjoys working with clients collaboratively in a non-judgemental and respectful way that empowers clients to achieve their own desired outcomes. Karen tailors the session depending on their individual needs as she knows everyone is unique. Her counselling approach draws on a range of evidence-based treatment approaches including: • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy • Person-centred Therapy • Solution-focused Therapy Karen is currently completing postgraduate study in psychology and in her spare time, loves crafting, gardening, yoga and doing renovation around the house.

Patricia Sleiman

Psychologist

Patricia is a registered Psychologist with AHPRA and a member with the Australian Psychology Society (MAPS). Patricia has over 20 years’ experience and previously worked with adolescents who presented with anxiety, depression and psychosis in Transcultural Mental Centre. Patricia has facilitated the Triple P Parenting Program within the Western Sydney area to provide support to parents and their young children. Currently Patricia is working with Starlight Psychology and in both primary and secondary school settings to provide counselling and support to students from kindergarten to year 12 with a focus on developing their resilience, managing stress and anxiety, communication skills, regulating their emotions, friendship skills, conflict resolution skills, social skills, building their confidence and self-esteem. She has a collaborative approach with teaching staff and parents regarding student’s learning and emotional wellbeing through developing support plans, risk assessments, safety plans, administering psychometric assessments to identify learning difficulties and individual personalised plans. Saima Ali(She/her)

Psychologist

Saima is a registered Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). She has extensive experience working with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds and across all age groups, including children, adolescents and adults. Saima has worked across a range of settings including schools, non-government organisations, charities and private practice. Saima has a particular interest in providing trauma-focused therapy and is experienced in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). She works with individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, including complex trauma and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Her therapeutic approach is grounded in evidence-based interventions including: - Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) - Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) - Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) In addition to trauma therapy. Saima also provides IQ/Cognitive Assessments for children and adolescents, supporting families in understanding their child's cognitive strengths and challenges. Her areas of clinical interest in ADULTS include: - Trauma and PTSD - Anxiety and panic attacks - Stress management - Phobias - Self-esteem and motivation challenges - Anger Management - Family and relationship difficulties, including relationship counselling Outside her professional work, Saima enjoys spending time with family and friends and find gardening very therapeutic and grounding activity.

Tony Georginis(He/him)

Tony Georginis is a Registered Psychologist and an Approved Supervisor with the Psychology Board of Australia and a Full Member of the Australian Psychological Society and accredited with Medicare and NSW WorkCover. Tony has many years of experience in relationship counselling, anxiety, depression, grievance and trauma counselling, chronic pain and health management. Tony is also a specialist in life and leadership coaching, psychometric assessments and EAP Counselling services. Tony administers psychometric assessments that measure specific domains including PTSD, Anxiety, Depression, OCD, ADHD, learning abilities or challenges, IQ or aptitude and personality, and vocational assessments. All private patients, Worker's Compensation and CTP claims and referrals from GP Mental Health Care Plan are accepted.
