Carrie is a Clinical Psychologist who seeks to provide a safe and non-judgmental space for clients to share their experiences. Carrie has experience working with a range of presentations including anxiety, depression, trauma, perfectionism, adjusting to major life events, drug and alcohol addiction, parenting and family difficulties, grief and loss. She has training in a number of therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Schema Therapy.

Tom Liao

Tom is a Registered Psychologist and Clinical Psychology Registrar with a passion for journeying with people through their difficulties and listening to their stories. He enjoys working with people of all ages and walks of life and is interested in helping clients with mood and adjustment difficulties. Tom has experience working with a wide range of clients, including children and adolescents, and adults. As a psychologist, Tom believes in the dignity of all people and seeks to always see ‘people as people’ rather than the circumstances and difficulties they may find themselves in. For Tom, therapy is a collaborative process where the clients are the experts of their lives and the therapist is the expert in clinical knowledge. Given his values, Tom strives to ground his sessions on an attitude of compassion, open-mindedness, and humility. He has a person-centered approach to therapy and draws upon techniques from CBT and ACT in his work. Tom is friendly and sincere, and loves to listen to people’s stories.

Sneha Ahmed

Sneha is a provisional psychologist who works with children, adolescents and adults across the lifespan who present with anxiety, depression, ADHD, ASD and OCD. Sneha understands the unique circumstances and perspectives of her clients with openness and curiosity. She believes in empowering individuals to focus on their strengths to build self-efficacy and collaboratively find tailored solutions to their emotional, behavioural and life challenges. With mental health experience in therapeutic intervention, crisis counselling, and psychometric assessment across the lifespan, Sneha has a compassionate and respectful person-centred approach that also considers the influence of family values and cultural diversity. She couples her collaborative style with evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. Sneha welcomes clients across the lifespan (children, adolescents and adults) with a variety of presentations including anxiety, ADHD, autism spectrum, depression, OCD, panic disorder, phobias, as well as behaviour, cognition and anger management issues.

Thi Huong Thao Nguyen

Thao is a Provisional Psychologist in her final year of a Master’s of Clinical Psychology degree. She has training in a number of therapy approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Thao has worked with adolescents and adults with a range of issues including, emotional difficulties, trauma, self-identity/self-esteem, and interpersonal and relationship difficulties. In addition to her clinical experience, she has over 10 years of experience supporting people with complex needs (e.g. homelessness, family violence and child protection) in the community services sector.

Vivian Chau

Vivian is a Registered Psychologist/Clinical Psychology Registrar. With a compassionate, open-minded, and collaborative approach, Vivian helps her clients navigate through life’s challenges and guides her clients to reach their full potential. Her passions are in supporting individuals experiencing relational trauma (e.g., childhood trauma), mood disorders, interpersonal/relationship issues, and parenting-related stress. She has experience in clinical, forensic, and academic settings, and has facilitated a mindfulness parenting program. In her approach, she is eclectic and flexibly draws upon elements of evidence-based psychological therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Somatic Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), and Schema-informed Therapy, to meet the unique needs of her clients. In tailoring her approach to what feels right for her clients, she is also considerate and respectful of different cultural backgrounds and values. In addition to working as a psychologist, Vivian is completing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) under the Discipline of Psychiatry and Mental Health at the University of New South Wales. Prior to this, she completed a Bachelor of Psychology (First Class Honours) and a Master of Psychology (Clinical). She has published her research in international scientific journals (e.g., Child Abuse & Neglect, Psychiatry Research) on topics relating to parenting and the impact of childhood abuse. She remains actively engaged in research as she is passionate about the ongoing advancement of psychological treatments, and combines the latest evidence-based research with her clinical skills to help her clients optimize their psychological wellbeing.
