Overview

Tom is a Registered Psychologist and Clinical Psychology Registrar with a passion for journeying with people through their difficulties and listening to their stories. He enjoys working with people of all ages and walks of life and is interested in helping clients with mood and adjustment difficulties. Tom has experience working with a wide range of clients, including children and adolescents, and adults. As a psychologist, Tom believes in the dignity of all people and seeks to always see ‘people as people’ rather than the circumstances and difficulties they may find themselves in. For Tom, therapy is a collaborative process where the clients are the experts of their lives and the therapist is the expert in clinical knowledge. Given his values, Tom strives to ground his sessions on an attitude of compassion, open-mindedness, and humility. He has a person-centered approach to therapy and draws upon techniques from CBT and ACT in his work. Tom is friendly and sincere, and loves to listen to people’s stories.
