Cathryn is an Australian trained GP, currently working in General Practice and Emergency Medicine in Melbourne. She graduated in 2008 and has a General Practice fellowship and a Diploma in Child Health. Prior to studying medicine Cathryn completed a Bachelor of Business and Bachelor of Medical Science and worked as an Accountant in Sydney. Cathryn has been working as a GP since 2015 and with an interest in women's health including contraception, fertility, antenatal care and menopause. She continues to develop her knowledge in these areas by attending regular conferences and undertaking further online training courses run by International and Australian Menopause Society. Cathryn loves her vegetable garden but would not describe herself as a green thumb. She enjoys bush walking, outdoors fitness and bike riding with her daughter.

Dr Elise Turner

Dr. Elise Turner is an experienced specialty Women’s Health GP, practicing medicine on the Gold Coast since 2013. She has particular passion for the field of menopause, inspired by the significant impact this can have on a woman’s life. She aims to open and empathetic, and strongly believes in empowering her patients to decide on the pathway of care that feels right for them. She is not patriarchal and will never tell you what to do! It's important to note that patients seeking general medical care will need to continue to see their regular GP. Dr Elise is a strong believer in a team approach, and will always ensure correspondence reaches your regular practitioner following our consultation. Beyond the clinic, Dr. Elise enjoys being a mother to both furry and human children (and a few chooks). She is also an amateur apiarist (that‘a beekeeping - check out her Instagram profile for more on this!). Additionally, she finds joy in tending to her vegetable garden and baking sweet treats (let’s be honest - mostly just eating the sweet treats).

Dr Gabrielle Staniforth

Dr Gabrielle Staniforth is an Australian trained GP based in Orange (NSW) with a special interest in women’s health. Gabby has a fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, a Diploma of Obstetrics & Gynaecology and a Certificate in Vulval Dermatology. Having experienced her own women’s health struggles and undergoing 10 years of fertility treatment, Gabby developed a love for reproductive and sexual health and a passion for delivering it in a kind and compassionate environment. She sees the menopausal transition as an important life stage and believes it’s time the myths around symptoms and treatments are busted. Women deserve to receive evidence-based education around their health in order to empower them to make informed decisions which provides the opportunity for health optimisation and for women to feel the best that they can. Dr Helen Demetriou

Helen has been a Sydney GP since 2004. She graduated from Sydney University with honours in 1998. After working in Melbourne and the UK Helen returned to Sydney completing her fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2004. Helen has a postgraduate diploma in General practice and certificates in child health and sexual and reproductive health. In additon to her General Practice in Sydney, Helen has been working in fertility medicine for the past 8 years. Dr Kath Turner

Kath has been working as a GP since 2005, with a particular interest in paediatrics and women’s health. Having graduated from Sydney University in 2002, Kath completed her fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners following training stints in Broken Hill, the Hunter, Sydney’s Inner West and an inner Sydney Sexual Health clinic. Kath has expanded her interest and knowledge of women’s health since joining the Australian Menopause Society. Her involvement has heightened her awareness of the substantial gap in access to information and support for women during the transformative phase of menopause. She is known for a compassionate and patient-centred approach and, through education, she aims to provide women the tools to make informed choices during this period. Kath lives in Sydney with her husband and 2 towering teenage boys and loves running through the National Park.

Kate is passionate about women’s health and has a keen interest in menopause. She takes a comprehensive approach addressing not only physical symptoms but also emotional and lifestyle factors. Kate is aware that the transition around perimenopause and menopause can be a difficult time and may have a significant impact on a woman’s life. As such, she strives to provide empathetic, patient-centred, holistic care. Her goal is to empower women with knowledge and support, helping them make informed decisions about their health throughout this significant life transition.

Dr Kelly Teagle

Dr Kelly Teagle graduated in Medicine from the University of Queensland in 2001 and worked as a Medical Officer in the Royal Australian Air Force. After becoming a GP she completed further studies in women’s reproductive and sexual health. At 42 Kelly experienced an early menopause, which motivated her to study and treat menopausal issues. Then in late 2018 she launched WellFemme, Australia’s first dedicated Telehealth Menopause Service, to help women access expert menopause care from wherever they live. Kelly is also a women’s health writer and speaker, and is passionate advocate for the improvement of menopause services for Australians.

Dr Krishna Ghosh

Krishna has worked as a GP in Sydney for more than 10 years having previously worked as a research scientist which gave her the chance to live and work in Germany for a number of years, sparking a lifelong love of travel and of exploring other cultures. The challenge of getting support to manage the myriad of possible symptoms that can come with perimenopause and menopause really hit home when she started experiencing symptoms herself while, like most women, also trying to juggle the many demands of family, work and society. While always having had a special interest in women’s health, this prompted Krishna to actively seek further education in this field and to join the Australian Menopause Society. She is passionate about using this knowledge to help other women.

Lynda is a GP in Canberra. She specialises in the management of Complex Disease, Preventative Health and Women’s Health. She graduated from Melbourne University in 1991, completed a Diploma of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 1994 and obtained her Fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners in 1996. Dr Newman worked in emergency medicine for fourteen years and returned to general practice in 2016 . A serious illness in 2015 caused her to start reassessing her direction in life, and led her to discover a passion for menopausal medicine. Outside of medicine her interests are anything outdoors – bushwalking, cross country skiing, and gardening to name a few.

Nicola has been working as a GP in Brisbane for over 17 years. She graduated from the University of Qld in 1998, completed her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2007, and studied a Diploma in Child Health in 2015. She has always had a strong interest and passion for women's health, and providing compassionate, evidence based, holistic care. As she and her patient cohort have aged, her interest in menopausal health has deepened and she became a member of the Australian Menopause Society to access the most up to date, evidence based approaches to management options. Outside of work, she is a busy mum of three teenagers, loves a good spin class and going to the beach.

Rebecca has been a dedicated GP for over 17 years, graduating in 2003 from Flinders University in Adelaide. Her passion for women’s health was sparked in 2006 while working with Family Planning in Darwin. Since then, she has focused extensively on women’s health, including additional qualifications to further advance her knowledge, including a Diploma in Sexual and Reproductive Health, and a Masters in Public Health. Rebecca understands the unique challenges that menopause can bring. She is committed to offering compassionate, empathetic support to help women thrive during this transition, to live their best lives now and in the future. Outside of work, Rebecca enjoys spending time with her two children, dancing, immersing herself in a captivating book, or enjoying the ocean. She is also passionate about travel, both within Australia and abroad, with Australia remaining her favourite country.

Dr Rebecca Jarvis

Rebecca trained in South Australia and worked in rural Victoria and NSW for 15 years before a move to Geelong. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and has completed further training in sexual health, occupational health, skin cancer medicine and dermatology and lifestyle medicine. Rebecca takes a collaborative approach - assisting with symptom relief and providing women with evidence-based information to allow them to make informed decisions about their health. Outside of medicine, Rebecca has studied architecture and fine arts. She loves a project of just about any kind and is happiest in the garden or a library.

Dr Sanj Hyare graduated from Birmingham University in the UK in 2008. She decided to relocate to Australia in 2011 and has never looked back! Sanj worked in oncology for 7 years before starting a family and deciding to re-train as a GP. She has a special interest in Women’s Health but is aware that accurate medical advice around perimenopause and menopause is lacking. After having experienced, first hand, the impact of hormonal fluctuations on all aspects of a woman’s life, Sanj is determined to provide up-to-date, individualised menopausal treatment to her patients. Dr Victoria Beyer graduated from the University of Sydney in 2012 after having grown up on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. After obtaining her FRACGP 2017 and working as a GP in Sydney for several years, she relocated to the Illawarra in 2022 for a change of pace and scenery. Victoria loves the breadth and variety of general practice, but women’s health is a particular area of interest and she loves spending time with women helping them to navigate the complexities of perimenopause and beyond. She believes that sensitive and patient-centred care during the menopausal transition can have an incredible impact on a woman’s quality of life. Victoria has 2 small children and when she is not working or parenting, she is running, doing pilates or playing the French horn in the Wollongong Community Orchestra.
