Amber Ferrier is a registered psychologist with experience in providing counselling and support to adults, children, and families, currently only working with people 15+ years of age. She has worked with diverse groups which has allowed her to work with people from all different cultural and economic backgrounds. Amber can work with anxiety, stress, depression, poor self-esteem, and relationship challenges. She also has experience in counselling individuals with complex backgrounds, a history of trauma, and diverse gender identities.
Amber’s approach is collaborative and client-centred and she offers a safe, and non-judgemental space to address her client’s concerns. She has used a range of treatment approaches including cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), mindfulness, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT). Amber’s treatment method is to use the best-practice, evidence-based methods and work collaboratively with her clients to offer a service that creates practical change.
