Alison Mackenzie is a registered psychologist and a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). She has worked in both government and private settings and has provided psychological support to children (7+ years), adolescents, adults, and groups. Alison values providing people with a safe space to tell their story and support them to explore their feelings, challenges and goals.
Alison has specific training in anxiety, depression, substance use challenges, grief, and personality disorders. She is trained in a range of other counselling methods, including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), psychodynamic and person-centred interventions. Alison can provide behaviour support plans for children experiencing challenging behaviours and feelings and has training in couples and families to support people to interact in new and more helpful ways.
