Tanya grew up in country Victoria and moved to Melbourne in 2008 to complete her Bachelor of Podiatry at La Trobe University. Working in various metro locations for many years and nourishing her skills in private practice, she ultimately found home in the beautiful hills of Emerald and surrounds with her family. Tanya enjoys every moment of living in this magical and peaceful place and feels a great sense of joy and pride in being able to support the members of her local community with their podiatric needs. She enjoys working across all areas of Podiatry, in particular general podiatric care, diabetic foot management and prevention, injuries, nail surgery, sports injuries and paediatrics. Monique’s professional expertise includes: Treatments to help resolve your foot pain, ankle pain, heel pain, leg pain, back pain or sporting injuries. After further study and training Monique is also qualified in foot mobilisation and manipulation techniques (FMT), prolotherapy (a non-surgical, ‘regeneration injection therapy’) and dry needling techniques for musculoskeletal conditions of the feet and lower limbs. Monique uses FMT techniques to provide foot pain relief to patients who have tried almost everything, including orthotics. FMT is a very effective treatment to restore normal joint function and range of motion, aiding the body in creating physiological changes to postural alignment. This gentle, specific and painless technique stimulates the body’s ability to repair and restore itself, helping to reduce pain and inflammation. Monique’s clinical experience and knowledge formed within the community health and aged care sector allows her to provide a very diverse clinical skill set for her patients. Monique previously worked as an integral member of a High Risk Multidisciplinary Foot and Leg Clinic at TQEH hospital in SA, working alongside vascular surgeons, infectious disease physicians, endocrinologists, orthotists, diabetes educators and wound care nurses. Monique is experienced in public speaking and presenting podiatry educational material to other allied health disciplines, nursing and medical staff. She has supervised and taught podiatry and third year medical students during their final year placements.

Dolores has worked as a Podiatrist for over 20 years at a number of our leading Hospitals, as well as at the University of South Australia. She is registered with the Australian Podiatry Association and has actively participated in their Continuous Professional Development Program since graduating. Dolores has many years experience in managing complex diabetes and orthopaedic patients, developing highly specialised clinical skills in high risk podiatry. She has a strong interest in biomechanics in all areas of podiatry, whether it is sports, children, disability or degenerative diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis. Dolores is highly regarded for her warmth, empathy and understanding. She is enthusiastic and passionate towards assessing, diagnosing and treating your lower limb and foot problems.

Sharon holds a Bachelor of Podiatry from the University of Newcastle and has extensive experience in all aspects of podiatric foot care. She previously served as a clinical supervisor for podiatry students at the University of Newcastle’s teaching clinic at Wyong Hospital for three years. Expanding her expertise, she completed a Pedorthics degree at Southern Cross University on the Gold Coast, specialising in the design of medical-grade footwear and orthotic appliances. With a deep understanding of orthopedic footwear, Sharon assists in the treatment of diabetic, arthritic, and neurological conditions in both adults and children. She is a registered NDIS provider, accredited with the Department of Veterans’ Affairs, and accepts Chronic Disease Management Plans (EPC referrals) from General Practitioners. Committed to resolving foot pain with a holistic approach, Sharon considers gait and posture when prescribing footwear and orthotic appliances. She is known for her attention to detail, providing comprehensive assessments, clear diagnoses, and tailored management plans that often include orthotics, exercises, and footwear advice. Dedicated to ongoing learning, Sharon continues to pursue further study as part of her professional development while delivering high-quality general podiatry services.

Mitchel Daoud: Mitchel is the proud owner and principal podiatrist at Eltham Foot Clinic. He completed his degree with honours and has also attained a Masters of Podiatric Practice. During his thesis, Mitchel undertook comprehensive research on the effect of footwear on sporting injuries, barefoot running and muscle strength. Prior coming to Eltham Mitchel attained experience with diabetic feet in North Central Victoria and 6 years in a Melbourne private practice managing sporting injuries, children’s feet, orthotics, corn/callus care, warts and ingrown toe nails. Today, Mitchel has two main specialty interests, one being everyday nail problems faced by the public, such as fungal toenails and ingrown toenails, and the other being managing complex foot and ankle problems caused by sporting injuries, orthopaedic deformity or neurological conditions. Mitchel’s innovation and thought in these complex cases is holistic and realistic, and treatment is relevant. For these reasons, Mitchel prides himself on offering the highest level of podiatric care and is known for his surgical techniques in the removal of ingrown toenails.

Kym has worked as a Podiatrist in Ballarat for the past 15 years. Kym has also completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (Exercise Rehabilitation). Kym enjoys the challenges that practicing as a Podiatrist bring and enjoys helping to improve the quality of life for people of all ages.
