After further study and training Monique is also qualified in foot mobilisation and manipulation techniques (FMT), prolotherapy (a non-surgical, ‘regeneration injection therapy’) and dry needling techniques for musculoskeletal conditions of the feet and lower limbs. Monique uses FMT techniques to provide foot pain relief to patients who have tried almost everything, including orthotics. FMT is a very effective treatment to restore normal joint function and range of motion, aiding the body in creating physiological changes to postural alignment. Monique’s clinical experience and knowledge formed within the community health and aged care sector allows her to provide a very diverse clinical skill set for her patients. Monique previously worked as an integral member of a High Risk Multidisciplinary Foot and Leg Clinic at TQEH hospital in SA, working alongside vascular surgeons, infectious disease physicians, endocrinologists, orthotists, diabetes educators and wound care nurses. Monique is experienced in public speaking and presenting podiatry educational material to other allied health disciplines, nursing and medical staff. She has supervised and taught podiatry and third year medical students during their final year placements.
