Hi! I’m Vicky Zeng and am an experienced counsellor registered with Australia Counselling Association (ACA), level 4 member.
I provide counselling to help people tackle a wide range of issues, including mental health concerns such as depression and anxiety, relationship and family challenges, emotional difficulties, workplace or academic stress, grief and loss, trauma recovery, self-esteem & confidence difficulties, Identity concerns, adjustment difficulties, lack of motivation or feelings of dissatisfaction.
My counselling style is rooted in a person-centred and trauma-informed approach. I provide a non-judgmental and safe space for you to address your concerns and be yourself. The primary approach I use is Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), an evidence-based method that facilitates change through the therapeutic relationship while transforming maladaptive emotions linked to problematic thoughts and behaviours into adaptive functioning. Additionally, I take an integrative approach, drawing on interventions from other modalities such as Solution-Focused Therapy, ACT, CBT, and coaching to meet diverse needs.
I primarily work with adult individuals and have greatly enjoyed working with people from diverse backgrounds, including ethnic minorities and LGBTQIA+ communities. I speak both English and Chinese.
If you are seeking an active, intensive counselling experience, are aware of or curious about emotions, and are interested in personal growth, my approach is likely to suit you.
