Overview

Talya is a Clinical Psychologist who completed a double degree in Psychology and Addiction Studies. Following this, she did Honours and a Master of Psychology (Clinical). Her honours research explored the experiences of Gen Y FIFO employees and was published in The Australian Community Psychologist in 2009. Talya’s Masters research focused on Vietnam Veterans and their experiences of companion animal ownership. Talya has worked for government and not-for-profit organisations, both in Australia and the United Kingdom. Her clinical psychology endorsement was completed within private practice and as a result, she has gained a wealth of experience within the field of psychology. Talya utilises a range of evidence based therapies to address assist with a broad range of mental health and psychosocial issues that may be affecting an individual. Her interests are working with people experiencing mood disorders; such as depression, anxiety, bipolar, as well as, substance misuse, suicidality, post-traumatic stress disorder and/or adjustment difficulties. Working collaborative with clients is important to Talya. She believes in her clients, in her work and in the probability of change. By working together, new insights can emerge and new skills can be developed to ensure you, or someone you know has the opportunity to accomplish goals and create a fulfilling life
