Jo Rowland

Psychotherapist (Registrar)

Jo is a psychotherapist who has a deep interest in the mind-body connection. This has led him to meditation and martial art practices and he strongly believes in the power of hope and a client’s innate capacity to achieve and sustain lasting change. He has a varied background, initially studying Applied Science (Bat. Ecotourism) which created employment opportunities in regional and remote areas of Australia. An interest in the environment and sustainability led him to alternative building, and he spent four years constructing rammed earth dwellings in Victoria and NSW. He adopts a warm, humanistic, person-centered approach to trauma-informed therapy and nurtures a space to deeply hear clients grappling with relationship issues, self-esteem, addiction, anxiety, and depression.
