Samantha Wally Psychologist (Provisional)

Samantha is a dedicated provisional psychologist who brings compassion and care to her practice. Having graduated with a Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honors) from the University of Queensland in 2022, Samantha is now completing a Master of Professional Psychology with La Trobe University. Guided by the question, “what happened to you?” rather than, “what’s wrong with you?”, Samantha‘s approach to mental health care is deeply empathetic and centered on fostering hope, which she views as the cornerstone of change. She firmly believes that even those facing complex mental health challenges can make meaningful progress, and she is committed to helping clients realize that change is always possible. Samantha‘s professional journey is enriched by her work in acute mental health as a peer worker. Her lived experience and peer-based approach imbue her practice with a unique depth of understanding and authenticity. She has a strong interest in how trauma shapes mental health conditions and is passionate about supporting individuals through community mental health initiatives. Outside of her professional life, Samantha is a busy mother of three who enjoys reading and staying active. Balancing the demands of family life and her professional pursuits, Samantha embodies resilience and dedication in all aspects of her life. As she begins her placement in private practice, Samantha looks forward to making a positive impact by empowering her clients to navigate their mental health journeys with hope and determination.
