Sam is a registered psychologist with a Masters in Educational and Developmental Psychology and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society. With extensive experience in community, clinical, and school settings Sam has worked with children of all ages including, preschoolers, primary age and adolescents. Sam is passionate about working with children and their families in supporting difficulties such as anxiety, trauma, learning difficulties, social skills, and behavioral challenges. Sam also works within the Circle of Security framework to support parents to strengthen the attachment bond within families and to support Perinatal mental health. Recently, Sam served as a school psychologist in a primary setting, supporting children with ADHD, ASD, Specific Learning Difficulties, complex behaviour challenges, school refusal and school anxiety. Sam is also skilled in psychometric assessments including cognitive, learning and behaviour assessments to support the diagnostic process and intervention planning.
Sam uses a compassionate strengths-based approach to create a safe, supportive environment to help children and their families live meaningful lives. In working with children, Sam takes a holistic approach to include parents, schools and other professionals to understand the developmental needs of the child in creating positive change.
