I believe that therapeutic relationships are unique and powerful. I aim to create a space where you can share without fear of judgement, deepen your connection to self, and bring about meaningful change in your life. As I often say to clients — change takes time, I know you are doing the best you can, and I will hold hope for you when things are feeling hard.
My interpersonal style is warm, open and affirming. I am dedicated to providing treatment which is evidence-based, collaborative and holistic. I draw upon Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT + CBT-E), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT).
I have experience working with adults with a range of mental health presentations. I have a specialised interest in working with eating disorders, and also with persistent pain. In working with these conditions, I understand the impact that stigma and discrimination has on both mental and physical health. I am aligned with Health at Every Size principles and engage in ongoing learning to be neurodiverse affirming, LGBTIQA+ inclusive, and sex positive.
In my life outside of psychology I am a yoga facilitator and creative at heart. I love exploring different forms of movement, getting lost in creative projects, and I take rest in nature. As we work together, I'm excited to learn what brings you ease and joy.
