Overview

Rose Evans believes success in therapy starts with a good trust relationship between therapist and client. Rose's extensive life experiences and empathetic ability enables her to build this relationship with her clients. Rose started Bridge Street Psychology, with Jodi Thiessen in 2018. Rose enjoys working with all age groups and all life stages. She has experience treating clients with depression, anxiety and trauma. Rose's teaching background provides her with both experience and a unique perspective when assessing learning and behavioural issues in children and adolescents and providing recommendations for parents and teachers. Rose is also the National Supervising Psychologist for Australian Mensa. She is very interested in the mental health issues and experiences of people with high IQs. Rose has previously had careers in sales, wine marketing and teaching HSIE and Agriculture at James Ruse Agricultural High School. Rose has four children (26, 23, 13 and 12), four chickens, a beagles and a husband. She enjoys pottering in the garden with her chickens (though she admits to having a black thumb), reading science fiction and fantasy, struggling with jigsaw puzzles, and is going to try knitting a beanie this winter.
