Ms Rachel Waldock

Counsellor

Rachel is a qualified counsellor with many years of experience. She is a member of the Australian Counselling Association and works with a diverse range of young adults, adults and couples, with a keen interest in life’s different stages and transitions, and relationships. Rachel is passionate about seeing the uniqueness in each of her clients, tailoring her approach to their personality and strengths. Her counselling style is encouraging, and geared towards bringing new insight and developing key skill sets to support emotional health. With this boosting them along, clients are able to see the change that they are hoping for both personally and relationally. Rachel is committed to creatively experimenting with clients to find practical ways for them to explore options, implement strategies and live more authentically. Just as each of our fingerprints are all distinctive, so too are the personalities and circumstances that each client brings into session. To meet that diversity Rachel uses a combination of therapies and techniques. These modalities include Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy. Rachel believes that taking time for counselling is one of the best ways to honour yourself; making space to reflect, learn and be encouraged can be transformational and truly rewarding.
