Pshko (Shko) Marden is a therapeutic practitioner, an accredited mental health social worker and a practice supervisor with over a decade of experience in therapeutic context, both in Australia and abroad.
His practice is guided by narrative ideas, the invitational approach, and trauma informed therapy. It is also deeply rooted in postmodern philosophy, feminism, queer and critical race theories. His therapeutic approach centres the significance of collaboration with clients.
Pshko works with couples and families around relationship issues, assisting them in respectfully exploring their hopes and concerns, and finding new ways to relate.
Pshko also works closely with individuals who have been affected by mental health adversities, supporting them in actualising possibilities and making new meanings out of their experiences.
In navigating family violence through the invitational approach, Pshko engages men to reflect on their ways of being, and the impacts on their loved ones, while supporting them in their journey of becoming a better version of themselves.
Providing therapeutic support to the survivors of sexual abuse and trauma is another domain of Pshko’s practice. He also works with individuals experiencing grief and loss.
Pshko offers practice supervision to therapeutic practitioners, counsellors and students.
