Georgia Dale
Principal Accredited Social Worker and Behaviour Practitioner.
I have worked in different sectors for over ten years, with the value of providing support to others. I graduated from Griffith University with a Bachelor in Psychological Science in 2010, and graduated from Southern Cross University with a Master of Social Work Professional Qualifying in 2015. I hold Accredited Social Worker status with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) as I place importance on continuing achievement and evidence informed practices to support my clients.
My experience before starting Mindset Support: Planning for participants in the National Disability Insurance Scheme with complex support needs, for four years since 2017. My post graduate roles were held in a variety of sectors including child protection, health, and psychosocial disability support implementing behaviour support plans.
One of my most memorable career achievements:
Providing training in dementia and delirium care to run a volunteer program in the hospital environment to provide person centred support to patients. The volunteers went through a number of checks and hoops including required vaccinations, yet were so excited to provide their volunteer role to patients with varying personal motivations.
I specialise in:
Working collaboratively with other people and services that provide support whilst being person centred for my clients.I believe that this is something I do well with my identity as a social worker. I have experience in providing support to both Children and Adults, and continue this diversity across the lifespan in my practice. I provide support to participants with degenerative disabilities and developmental disabilities.
