Peter is a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist with extensive experience supporting individuals across the lifespan. As a generalist clinician, he works with clients of all ages, helping them develop and enhance their communication and swallowing abilities to improve their quality of life.
Peter holds a Master of Speech Pathology from the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia, and a Bachelor of Health Sciences from Mount Royal University in Calgary, Alberta. With a strong foundation in evidence-based practice, he has extensive experience in community and disability settings and has also gained valuable clinical exposure in hospitals and schools during his studies. His broad experience enables him to tailor therapy to each individual's unique needs and goals.
Peter has a particular interest in working with individuals with neurological conditions, including multiple sclerosis (MS), Parkinson’s disease (PD), and stroke or brain injury. He is passionate about helping these clients regain communication skills, safely enjoy meaningful eating and drinking experiences, and actively participate in their communities. His experience includes supporting individuals with MS in maintaining their speech and swallowing function as the disease progresses, as well as assisting clients with PD in managing voice and articulation challenges through evidence-based interventions such as the SPEAK OUT! program.
His approach is client- and family-centred, ensuring therapy is functional, engaging, and aligned with each person's aspirations. Peter believes in building strong, trusting relationships with his clients and their families, creating a supportive and encouraging environment for success.
Outside of work, Peter enjoys spending time at the beach, playing guitar, and watching ice hockey. With his expertise, enthusiasm, and genuine passion for helping others, he is committed to empowering individuals to communicate with confidence and enjoy a fulfilling life.
