I love sports. Plain and simple. I love playing, coaching, umpiring and watching almost every sport there is. My greatest love is for snow sports and it is here that my passion for the lower limb was born and how I came to pursue a career in podiatry. Over a decade ago I took a trip to the snow-capped mountains of the Northern Hemisphere and I quickly realised the importance of the lower limb on a person’s overall well-being. Fast-forward over a decade and that small interest has become a full-blown passion for biomechanics and the lower limb. As a podiatrist I have gained experience in all areas of podiatry and specialise in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of foot, ankle and lower limb conditions. Each consultation is tailored to the patient’s individual needs. Their personal goals are at centre of their treatment plan, with freedom from pain and a quick and seamless return to normal life a primary objective. I use the most up-to-date research, techniques and equipment to enhance performance, prevent injuries, alleviate pain and improve functional ability. I am also fortunate enough to work alongside a team of expert allied health professionals, including physiotherapists, exercise physiologists, GPs, psychologists and chiropractors. This means a patient’s treatment will always be multidisciplinary where required, providing a holistic approach to their health and therefore greater health outcomes.
