Therapy with Narissa
I believe in an empathetic and collaborative approach to therapy where I will work as your teammate to support you in achieving your goals. I want clients to feel empowered and therefore believe it is vital for those I work with to understand the nature and science behind the mental health issue they present with so that any evidence based treatment we implement will have you understanding the ins and outs of how and why it works. This remains the same whether you’re 6, 16 or 60 or presenting individually or with a support team (e.g. parents and family). If you work with me you can expect to work with someone who has a passion for all things mental health, and someone who takes an energetic, enthusiastic, and empathetic approach.
I like to work with all ages across the lifespan, particularly children, adolescents and young adults. Whilst I work with a variety of mental health disorders, I am extremely experienced and passionate about all things anxiety, ADHD, OCD, ASD, and with emotional and behavioural dysregulation (including defiance and school refusal).
