Maree is a Speech Language Pathologist with international experience in clinical and educational settings. Born and raised in Outback Australia, health services were difficult for her family to access. Therefore, Maree has a strong desire for family-centered services to be accessible to children from all backgrounds, so that they grow to become confident citizens in their communities.
Maree holds a Bachelor of Speech Pathology with Distinction from the University of Newcastle. She is a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist (CPSP) and a member of Speech Pathology Australia. She also received her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC’s) from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA).
Maree’s areas of expertise include early intervention, speech and language development, and literacy acquisition. She has experience providing individualised intervention to children with a variety of complex communication needs, and has been trained in the Sounds-Write approach to phonics and literacy.
