Jo brings significant knowledge and skills to understanding human developmental needs and the connection between healthy early years relationships and adult mental health and well-being. Jo has a specific interest in helping families adjust to life’s challenges as well as relating to each other in different and more useful ways.
Jo’s practice is trauma-informed; she is certified in assessing and responding to childhood trauma as well as recognising and working with the effects of traumatic events across the lifespan. Jo takes an integrative approach to her counselling practice, drawing on evidenced therapies and intervention strategies that best suit each client.
Jo seeks to provide a welcoming and trusting therapeutic space for clients to safely explore their struggles and concerns while supporting them to accept and align the unique aspects of self.
