Working from a holistic approach , I believe that the best choice from a psychological perspective for an individual client depends on the factors unique to that person. This starts with his or her presenting complaints and preferences. As a psychologist I work with the client, acknowledging the importance of establishing rapport and meaningful interactions.
Jane has over 15 years experience in the field of psychology. She has completed Post Graduate qualifications in Australia and the United Kingdom. She is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is a Member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). Jane utilises several evidence based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Trauma Focussed Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT), Schema Focussed Therapy, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Client Centered Therapy, Solution Focussed Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Psychoeducation.
Jane has experience working with a diverse range of clients, including adolescents and adults. Further, she has worked extensively with members of the Australian Defence Force, Emergency Services, the Criminal Justice System, and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
