Ms Anika Ahmad Bull Counsellor

Overview

Hi, welcome to my clinical profile. I’m happy you’re here. As a registered trauma-informed Mental Health Counsellor my approach focuses on empowering you to nurture self-compassion and self-trust. My experience as a clinician in the community mental health space has shaped my therapeutic style and approach. I understand that we are all incredibly unique, which is why my approach is integrative. It combines neuroscience to help you explore the complexities of your nervous system, psychological interventions to explore pathways that facilitate meaningful changes and communication skills so you can begin communicating assertively with others and compassionately with yourself. To tie this all together, we can draw upon Eastern wisdom for perspective shifts and to support you in regulating your nervous system through body and breath. I embody a fusion of East and West in my therapeutic approach because that fusion is me; I myself am a mix of East and West. My therapeutic style is empathetic and inclusive. I strive to create a safe and welcoming space where you can freely express yourself; a non-judgmental pod within which everything is private, one that emulates hope and empowerment. I am particularly interested in supporting individuals living with anxiety, those adapting to life alongside grief, people from underrecognised communities and those with intercultural backgrounds. I offer a complimentary twenty minute consult to identify whether the therapeutic alliance feels like a good fit. If you’re interested in learning more about how we can work together or want to understand my approach better, you can visit my website. I look forward to the possibility of supporting you on your journey.
