Wendy is a registered psychologist who has completed studies in Counselling Psychology.
In her work, Wendy takes a client-centred approach that aims to assist clients to identify, develop and build on their individual strengths and support networks to improve their capacity for self-determination; personal growth and ongoing development of a fulfilling and satisfying life.
Although Wendy works with clients of all ages and is able to assist clients with concerns about: Anxiety; Loss and Grief; Life transitions; Stress; Vicarious trauma, and early intervention, Wendy has particular experience in working with children, adolescents, young adults and parents. This has led to training and certification as a specialist practitioner in a number of areas related to families and parenting.
Wendy’s work and study has also included a focus on supporting other counsellors in the human service field to develop strategies for self-care and resilience.
