Maria provides services specialising in Mediation, Family Dispute Resolution, Family Court-Ordered or Court-Involved Therapy, Family Court Report Writing, Parenting Coordination for co-parents, Individual and Couples Psychotherapy and Counselling. She is a Registered Clinical Counsellor & Psychotherapist (PACFA), a Registered Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner (Attorney General's Department), a Nationally Accredited Mediator (NMAS) and an Accredited Parenting Coordinator (Parenting Coordination Australia). As a Psychotherapist, Counsellor and Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner, Maria works with individuals and families who have been struggling with co-parenting. She is dedicated in helping families to develop and implement effective parenting plans. She is also very experienced in working with people who are in conflict. Maria specialises in facilitating a process where people are able to have challenging conversations in a controlled environment. She is highly experienced in working with issues associated with family conflict such as family separation which may include feelings of guilt, grief & loss, sadness, and fear, just to name a few. She also has also worked extensively with families and individuals who have experienced trauma, depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, panic attacks and various other issues. Her approach is that there is no ‘one fits all’ when it comes to therapy. Maria works within a person-centred framework and strongly values the importance of having a trusting relationship between therapist and client. Maria's 'therapy toolbox' has been developed from a wide range of approaches, including Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Informed Practice, Gottman Method and Solution-Focused Therapy. Her aim is to support people in finding positive and effective solutions to making what can seem like an overwhelming situation, manageable with minimal stress.
