Overview

I work with women 16-65+ across a wide range of issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationships, self-esteem, academic/work stress, career indecision and motivation challenges My specific areas of expertise are: - diagnosed or suspected ADHD and AuDHD women experiencing challenges with emotional regulation, burnout, relationships and communication, and workplace issues. - women experiencing burnout and challenges with managing life demands. - women experiencing issues with menstrual or hormonal conditions such as PMDD or perimenopause. - women who have experienced reproductive trauma such as infertility or miscarriage. I have a lot of experience working with people who might feel uncomfortable talking to a therapist, so I am prepared for this if that’s a worry for you! What is most important to me is that we work in a neuro-affirming and trauma-informed way that is comfortable for you, at your own pace. I genuinely love to learn about how you experience the world, and I most definitely value either professional or self-diagnosis. MY QUALIFICATIONS I am a qualified Social Worker and Clinician with a Bachelor of Social Work (Honours) from Charles Sturt University. I am also an approved NSW Victims Services Counsellor. I have over 12 years’ experience working across the public and non-government sectors in mental health and wellbeing, counselling, trauma-informed approaches, reproductive & sexual trauma, disability and casework. I am trained in ACT, CBT, DBT, and somatic trauma therapies and my approach is informed by SFBT and IFS. I have lived experience in infertility, IVF, multiple miscarriages, endometriosis, AuDHD and perimenopause, so I know how deeply this can impact how you feel about yourself and the world. I am registered with the Australian Association of Social Workers and I am strongly committed to the AASW Code of Ethics. I regularly stay up to date with best-practice research and intervention methods through continuing professional development and by undertaking social work academic research, and I teach a number of mental health and social work subjects at Charles Sturt University. I also sit on the Australian Association of Social Workers Ethics Council.
