Emma has 14 years of extensive training working with people who have experienced complex trauma. She is particularly interested in restoring and healing people who have experienced childhood abuse and neglect. Emma works with children, adolescents, adults and couples. Emma is a genuine, gentle, wise, compassionate and non-judgemental counsellor who creates safety and trust within the therapeutic relationship, working collaboratively to achieve the person’s desired goals. She counsels from a holistic framework, exploring emotional, mental, relational, physiological and spiritual areas with people, drawing from a wide range of evidence-based therapies. Emma has worked in various roles for not-for-profit organisations, schools, and counselling practices. She is a qualified supervisor for counsellors and chaplains. Emma has earned a Bachelor of Social Science major in Counselling, a Master of Counselling Practice, and a Certificate of Attainment in Professional Supervision. She has a Level 4 Australian Counselling Association (ACA) and ACA College of Supervisors membership.
