Overview

I am an Occupational Therapist with over 20 years experience. I graduated with a Masters of Occupational Therapy degree from The University of Sydney in 2002. I also hold a Bachelor of Arts Degree, majoring in Sociology from Charles Sturt University which I completed in 1995. I have worked with people experiencing various complex physical and mental health conditions and disabilities throughout my more than 20 years work as an Occupational Therapist. I have background with both adults and paediatric clients aged over seven years. I have worked with many clients with mental health disability throughout my career. I have worked with intellectual disability and have experience assessing participants with verbal and nonverbal communication. I have experience with physical disability including stroke, brain injury and spinal disability. My work experience has enabled me to engage in a variety of complex diagnosis and execution of assessment, therapy and projected needs. I have completed complex assessments and interventions to meet client’s needs. I work with a variety of both adults and paediatric clients aged over seven years. I have used a variety of assessment tools including cognitive, occupational performance measures, sensory measures, range of movement measures and have implemented strategies to increase quality of life. Throughout my career I have accessed Continued Professional Development resources to build on my competency with practice and attended training of appropriate assessment, provision of assistive technology and home modifications and therapy techniques. I am AHPRA registered and a member of the Australian Association of Occupational Therapists. I now work predominantly within the NDIS Scheme, however I have worked within the Workers Compensation Scheme, Compulsive Third Party Scheme for NSW and Victoria, the Lifetime Care and Support Scheme and within the Life Insurance Scheme across my Occupational Therapy career. I have recently moved into my own private practice having worked within National rehabilitation companies since graduating with my Occupational Therapy degree.
