Amy Greaves is a registered Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and has over 13 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families in a range of settings including schools. Amy is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS).
Amy specialises in providing empathic, individualised counselling and psychological treatment for children, adolescents and adults. Amy focuses on developing a warm and collaborative relationship with clients to inspire them to become actively involved in implementing positive change, while increasing resilience and developing self-compassion.
Amy’s therapeutic approaches draw from evidence-based practice and include: Cognitive-behavioural therapy, ACT, positive psychology and mindfulness-based interventions. Amy is also skilled in coaching techniques, is a trained psychodynamic psychotherapist and has a strong interest in the relationship between mindset and performance. Amy is also a wife and mother of two boisterous boys.
Amy has experience working with a range of psychological needs including behaviour management, anxiety, depression, self-harm, social and interpersonal difficulties, school refusal, grief and loss, sexuality, adjustment challenges, stress management and wellbeing development. In addition to providing individual therapy, Amy also has an interest in group work and performing cognitive /educational assessments.
