My name is Tom and I am a Psychologist with Melbourne Wellbeing Group. I strive to create a therapeutic environment in which people feel a sense of comfort and openness to talk about a range of issues that may be present in their past and current life.
I commonly work with adults who experience mood disorders, anxiety disorders and bipolar disorder. I also work with kids and teen and have worked collaboratively with children and their parents to address psychological issues that may be present at school, at home or other settings which cause the child interpersonal distress. I draw from a number of evidence-based practices including Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness and Psychodynamic Therapy. I have a strong interest in working with individuals who have difficulties with ruminative thoughts utilising a mindfulness approach to help people become more present.
