Mr Peter Casbolt Psychologist

Peter is a Consultant, Senior Clinical Psychologist and Speaker best known for his direct, empowering approach to the discussion, assessment and treatment of mental health conditions. His work across mood and anxiety disorders, personality disorders, drug and alcohol addictions, trauma, grief and loss, self-esteem and relationship difficulties has established him as a unique voice in the field. Today, Peter blends approaches including CBT, DBT, ACT and Schema therapy to meet the diverse, complex needs of his patients, empowering people to take control and responsibility of their mental health. As a private practitioner, Peter has worked at several hospitals in Sydney and is currently a Consultant Senior Clinical Psychologist at Kellyville Private Hospital. With experience in one-to-one and group settings, he has developed and led the delivery of evidence based treatment programs improving patient wellbeing across the board. Peter continues to play an active role in the supervision and progression of junior psychologists and since 2015 has held post as a Visiting Lecturer and Supervisor on the Master of Professional Psychology program at Macquarie University. He has also led a number of corporate engagements aimed at improving workplace culture through the application of psychology principles to key areas such as conflict management. Peter’s mission is to continue to break down the stigma that exists in relation to mental health. His recent speaking engagements include raising awareness around mental health and its treatments amongst varying delegates.
