Mr Nahum Kozak Psychologist

NAHUM is a psychologist has a warm, gentle manner that sets clients at ease, whether they are seeking his help with individual issues or as part of couples counselling. He is able to help clients with a range of issues, including relationship issues, workplace issues, depression, anxiety, stress and burnout. He is skilled at cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), as well as acceptance commitment therapy (ACT). Nahum (whose name rhymes with 'Graham') is Co-founder of Lighthouse Relationships Psychology and Counselling - located in New Farm, Brisbane - and is a regular psychology / relationship expert appearing on ABC Radio Brisbane & 7 News. He is Level 3 trained in Gottman Method Couples Therapy. Nahum has been a fully registered psychologist since 2010, and has over 20 years’ experience in private, educational, community and corporate settings. He has worked as a Counsellor and Relationship Educator at Centacare - with a focus on pre-marriage preparation and relationship counselling / couples therapy. He has also been an Executive Coach and Researcher. Nahum has provided professional supervision for early-career counsellors and psychologists. His research on wellbeing, social connection, and sleep quality has been published in the International Journal of Social Psychiatry. Nahum offers couples therapy (i.e. couples counselling / relationship counselling) and individual psychology to clients from all over Brisbane in person from his New Farm office, or across Australia and New Zealand via Telehealth / zoom, (including regional areas). Finally, Nahum loves gardening and trying to jump as high as his kids on the trampoline!
