Overview

Gannon is a Registered Psychologist who provides an open collaborative space to allow personal growth, empowerment and momentum. Working with adolescents (12+), adults, and couples from diverse backgrounds. Gannon provides assessment, intervention and treatment planning across the following areas: depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, grief/loss, trauma, personal and professional stressors, addictions and more. Gannon's gentle interpersonal style is empathetic and non-judgmental, validating your present experience whilst working with you to bring about helpful and practical change. Gannon's treatment focus incorporates techniques from evidence-based interventions including: Cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), Acceptance commitment therapy (ACT), Couples therapy (Gottman Method), Motivation Interviewing (MI), as well as Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Narrative Therapy and Solution-focused Therapy (SFT) to help clients achieve their therapeutic goals. Gannon has worked in various roles within private and public hospital mental health settings, Employee Assistance Programs (EAP), FIFO (both onshore and offshore), rural and remote outreach programs and private practice. Available for: - Medicare Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP via GP referral). - Private health insurance if covered: a paid session receipt post consultation can be provided to make a claim with your private health insurer. - Concession as a low-income earner both individual and couple with proof of identification i.e., health care card.
