Monica is an experienced therapist who is passionate about empowering adults, children, and families impacted by adversity and disadvantaged backgrounds. Over the last decade, she has helped clients transform relationships, develop life-changing coping skills, and foster resilience and autonomy.
Monica has extensive training in mental health including a Master of Clinical Psychology, Bachelor of Psychological Science, Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Psychology, and Postgraduate Diploma of Social Health and Counselling. She is also an accredited provider of the Cool Kids Anxiety program.
Monica's therapeutic approach is person-centred, strengths-based, and eclectic, tailoring her services to each client's unique needs and preferences. She draws from a diverse toolkit of evidence-backed therapeutic modalities (CBT, ACT, Narrative Therapy, DBT, Systems Therapy) to suit client preferences and work with diverse presentations eg. depression, anxiety, OCD, ASD, trauma, domestic violence, low self-esteem, and ADHD.
