Miss Melissa Lay Psychologist

Melissa is a registered psychologist who has worked across educational and clinic based settings. She is passionate about supporting the needs of young people and adults through psychological assessment and intervention. Melissa provides tailored psycho-educational assessments that provide a holistic understanding of an individual’s cognitive, social, emotional, and behavioural functioning. She adopts a respectful, empathetic, and warm approach when working with clients. Melissa draws upon a range of therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure Response Prevention (ERP), and mindfulness. Melissa holds specific interests in anxiety and mood disorders, OCD, and neurodevelopmental disorders. Melissa completed a Master of Psychology (Educational and Developmental) at Monash University and is a Member of the Australian Psychological Society. Melissa is passionate about collaboratively working with clients and supporting them to meet their therapeutic goals.
