Mel Clair Occupational Therapist

Hi! I am an Occupational Therapist with over 20 years' experience. My aim is to assist a person to “live their best life” by supporting their personal goals and working toward regaining function, accessing equipment and community support to enable a more independent, fulfilling life. I am community based and see clients in their own homes/workplace or community. My area of practice is neurological OT (specifically, traumatic brain injury, stroke and spinal cord injury). My intervention experience includes cognitive rehabilitation, neurological upper limb retraining, spinal cord injury functional retraining/upper limb interventions, community integration, fatigue management, robotic technology for upper limb retraining, brain injury education and behaviour management. I have extensive experience in equipment prescription, home environment management and complex report writing for functional needs and assistive technology access.
