Ms Lisa Bloom(She/her)

Psychologist

Lisa Bloom is an experienced Clinical Psychologist that works with people who are struggling with eating disorders, their relationship to food and their body, and are wanting to break free from their inner critic and unhelpful habits that are keeping them stuck. Lisa also works with people who are trapped in patterns of unhealthy relationships, anxiety, perfectionism, self-criticism and chronic unhappiness and want to break free and carve a new path for themselves. While Lisa is a therapist, she is a human first and she believes that therapy shouldn’t be formal or scary. Lisa brings her unique human nature to her sessions so that clients can connect, feel comfortable and be brave enough to be genuine and imperfectly human too, without the fear of judgement. Lisa explores how past traumas, and negative experiences show up in the challenges people face today, and then works with them to help heal from these past hurts so that they can develop new patterns in life and relationships, learn how to meet their own needs, and move towards a more fulfilled life. Lisa tailors her sessions to the individual and works with a number of modalities including Schema Therapy to address recurring mental health difficulties and past traumas, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and evidence-based interventions for Eating Disorders.
