Overview

As a professional Creative Arts Therapist working on Wurundjeri land, my offerings are about creating spaces and offering tools that support the re-connection to a creative path towards wellbeing. This "path" is defined by each individual and their unique needs and abilities. I have a special interest in facilitating inclusive and safe spaces for LGBTQIA+, neurodiverse and multicultural communities. Through lived experience, I have an understanding of the multifaceted challenges that emerge by navigating the everyday socio-political world through the lens of these intersections. The creative arts therapies offer an alternative and non-verbal means of communication where thoughts and emotions can be explored and held within symbols and images in a supportive environment and can also be further explored through talk therapy. My approach is grounded in person centred and strength based methods that consider the whole person and their lived experience. Over the last decade I've facilitated arts therapy groups and one on one sessions to communities of diverse culture, sexuality, gender, bodies and abilities. I've worked in the space of family violence, neurodiversity and with Indigenous communities in Far North Queensland. Free 15 minute consultation - feel free to reach out for a chat. Email marlene@bluebloom.com.au to make a time. Fees for Individual sessions: $150 for a 60 minute session $190 for a 90 minute session Face-to-face or Telehealth available If you're experiencing financial hardship, a sliding scale is available. Please contact me via email. Marlène Habib is registered with The Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA)
