Overview

Commencing therapy can be a daunting process, especially when it can feel like past experiences and unhelpful obstacles have been taking up space for a long time and getting in the way of you living your best life. I firmly believe that we are all capable of healing and seeing change, and sometimes we need a supportive space or guiding hand to help. During our time together, I will hold that hope, and create space for you. My therapeutic style is informed by person-centred, trauma-informed principles. My approach is warm and down-to-earth. I always aim to create a non-judgemental and empathic environment, in which you feel safe and heard. I will take the time to listen to your life’s story and understand what is important for you to change. With your permission, we will work collaboratively to build insight into the unhelpful patterns that have been impacting your life and introduce strategies and helpful ways to address them. I work with young people aged 18+ and adults and I enjoy working with all cultural groups. I am committed to ensuring I provide LGBTQIA+ inclusive, and neurodiverse affirming practice. I draw upon a range of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy (ST), Dialectic Behaviour Therapy (DBT). I also have a special interest and expertise in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). Outside of work, I enjoy bike riding and running on new trails as a way to connect my mind and body with nature.
