Dr Shelley is one of Australia's leading women's health dietitians. She complements over 30 years of nutrition expertise with a PhD in psychology, balancing the 'know-what' of nutrition with the 'know-how' of innovative behaviour change techniques. Dr Shelley is passionate about helping women optimise their dietary habits and relationship with food to improve their fertility, pregnancy and long-term health and well-being into the postnatal period, as well as during the perimenopause. She values the privilege of working with women at these key life stages, enhancing their opportunity to improve personal lifestyle behaviours with lasting positive intergenerational effects. Previously, she was the Senior Maternity Research Dietitian at Brisbane’s Mater Mothers Hospital for 12 years. During this time she developed and delivered innovative, women-focussed programs that resulted in improved diet quality, increased fruit and vegetable intake, and physical activity levels, a need for less medication (in gestational diabetes), as well as a greater proportion of women achieving their pregnancy weight gain goals. She achieves this through tailoring knowledge from the scientific research to women's individual lifestyles and preferences in an empathetic and non-judgemental way. Dr Shelley has also completed the Dr Rick Kausman 'if not dieting' training and incorporates many of these techniques and approaches in her counselling sessions.

Ms Elin Donaldson(She/her)

Dietitian

Elin is a highly skilled women's health dietitian. She has worked as an Accredited Practising Dietitian for more than ten years, with most of these as the Mater Mothers Hospital Senior Maternity Dietitian. She has extensive experience and a special interest in gestational diabetes. She is also highly skilled in all aspects of nutrition and weight management related to preconception, pregnancy, and postnatal care, as well as supporting cardiometabolic health in perimenopause/ menopause. Elin is passionate about women’s health and, as a mum with personal experience with IVF and GDM, brings an empathetic approach to helping women to tailor evidence-based and practical nutrition advice to their individual requirements and preferences. She has also completed the Dr Rick Kausman ‘if not dieting’ training and incorporates many of these techniques and approaches in her counselling sessions.
