Therapy with Laura
My therapeutic style is warm and collaborative. Your sessions will be tailored to you and what you are looking to acheive. I aim to provide a safe and non-judgemental space for us to work together in reaching your goals. I pride myself on building rapport and a strong therapeutic relationship and this is always a priority.
Prior to commencing this internship, I gained experience working with children and adolescents with multiple diagnoses, most commonly ASD, ADHD, anxiety, depression and childhood trauma. This would be my main area of interest as I am fascinated by the way children learn and develop, and I have a passion for wanting to see children meet their full potential.
When working with children, I will ensure the approach is collaborative between myself, parents, and the school, to make sure we are meeting the needs of the child in all areas.
