Overview

Jodi Thiessen believes the therapeutic relationship must be founded in compassion, trust, confidentiality, and openness. There is no one way for everyone to achieve good mental health so choosing the best therapeutic method is a collaborative process between client and psychologist. Jodi works with all ages to help clients identify and work towards a rich, full and meaningful life. Jodi uses a variety of treatment modalities to address issues including trauma and related conditions, grief/adjustment, anxiety, depression, interpersonal issues, health related issues, and addiction. Therapeutic progress is measured with psychometric assessment, observation, self-reporting, and evaluation techniques. Drawing from her experience as a communications specialist and researcher at the World Health Organization Collaborating Centre, Jodi understands many different cultural perspectives. In her spare time Jodi likes exploring the world and spending time with her family.
