Jessica is a down to earth Psychologist and Board Approved Supervisor who is passionate about supporting children, adults, couples, and families to move through challenges, heal from adversity and trauma, and develop stability and strength within themselves and their relationships.
Jessica is committed to providing person-centred, trauma-informed, and evidence-based psychological care. Jessica has particular training and experience working with EMDR and Schema Therapy, Family Therapy, the Gottman Method, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Biofeedback, the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP), and Sensorimotor and Play-Based Therapies.
Jessica is a credentialed eating disorder clinician, with training and experience in flexibly providing Cognitive Behaviour Therapy for Eating Disorders, which incorporates family work when provided to younger individuals. Jessica practices from a Health at Every Size (HAES) and Non-Diet framework.
Jessica's work is relationally focussed which means she endeavours to form an authentic and supportive therapeutic relationship with the people she supports, while also working to resource the relationships and systems that surround the people she supports.
Jessica is neurodiverse affirming (NDA) in her practice. She seeks to create a safe space where the people she supports can unmask and be their true authentic selves. Jessica does not impose neurotypical rules or expectations in her practice meaning there is no expectation of eye contact or sitting or being a certain way. Jessica offers options for low lighting and has many sensory items available. Jessica is able to safely and patiently accommodate those who are demand avoidant (or “PDA”).
Having worked with children and families for many years now, and as a parent herself, Jessica is particularly passionate about supporting parents. Parenting in modern society can be demanding, isolating, amazing, and stressful. Jessica aims to create a safe, nurturing, and purposeful space that allows parents to tune in to themselves and their children with more clarity and confidence. Jessica has a particular interest in responsive and low-demand parenting approaches.
As a Board Approved Supervisor, Jessica's approach to providing supervision is similar to her therapeutic work. She enjoys working with professionals from a variety of disciplines. With a focus on offering a safe reflective space that is respectful of the supervisee’s background, approach, and expertise, Jessica offers support with professional approach, theoretical framework, skill practice, boundaries and self-care, and perhaps most importantly, reflective practice and self-supervision skills.
Jessica is a proud member of the Australian Association of Psychologists (AAPi) and a professional member of the Australian Association of Family Therapy (AAFT).
Jessica is the volunteer coordinator for the Bathurst Mental Health Professionals Network (MHPN) which facilitates funded professional development and networking opportunities for local allied health professionals. Jessica is also a member of Better Births Central West, a passionate group of local women, who seek to have a positive impact on the birthing experiences of women and their families in the Central West.
Jessica's 2025 session fee is $195.
