Jemma has worked in a variety of settings, including the Royal Children's Hospital. Her areas of expertise include paediatric nutrition: allergies and intolerances, fussy eating, weight and other paediatric issues, as well as gut health- with a special interest in the gut microbiome, IBS/FODMAP malabsorption, inflammatory bowel disease and coeliac disease. Jemma's personal experience with children with food allergies, both paediatric and adult FODMAP malabsorption, the RPAH elimination diet, the chron's disease exclusion diet, anti inflammatory diets, coeliac disease and vegetarianism is second to none. Her family is one you wouldn't want to invite over for dinner, there's too many dietary requirements! It also means she has an abundance of practical tips & tricks, as well as recipes to share. She also has an interest in women's health, nutrition during pregnancy/lactation and PCOS.
Jemma also provides talks to workplaces, schools, early childhood centres, other organisations, health professionals and university students. Additionally, Jemma consults to the food industry, specifically for products for infants and children.
Jemma doesn't have much spare time but when she does, she enjoys playing basketball with her children, walking her dogs, gardening and good food and wine!
