James Blackburn has a passion for supporting and promoting the wellbeing of young people, adults and seniors through education, coaching and creative expression.
James has a lifelong passion for helping and begun his career as a nurse. Since then James moved has moved through different roles in nursing then made a career change into community services with experience as a youth support coordinator in the school environment and youth work with complex children in care. James' most recent role is that of a foster and kinship care agency case worker.
James has a specific interest in using his skills in strengths based support, Theraplay, Positive Parenting, PACE, recovery focused peer support work, individual support work, art and creative expression, the Resourceful Adolescent Program and his experience in nursing, youth work and therapeutic case work to support children, adults, and seniors with neurodivergences, and developmental, physical and intellectual disability, or those living with mental health challenges to support recovery, engage in prosocial activities, create and express themselves.
