Hans De Silva Audiologist

I’m a Clinical Audiologist with over 15 years of experience, having worked extensively across diagnostic hearing assessments, hearing device fittings, pre-employment hearing checks, and Victorian Workcover hearing services. I completed my undergraduate degree in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology from Bangalore University in 2006, followed by a Master’s in Clinical Audiology from the University of Melbourne in 2009. In 2007, I worked as a Clinical Audiologist and Clinical Trainer in Sri Lanka, which was a great learning experience early in my career. I then spent nearly 15 years at Amplifon Melbourne, where I gained valuable experience and had the opportunity to coach and mentor intern audiologists and support many junior audiologists in their professional development. More recently, I’ve branched out into Paediatric Audiology—a space I’ve found incredibly rewarding. I’m passionate about helping children through timely hearing assessments, supporting early identification of hearing issues, and guiding parents and caregivers through the process. Being part of a multidisciplinary care team to support children with speech and language delays, behavioural concerns, or academic issues, and contributing to the best outcomes for each child, is something I truly care about.
