Jason Ciccotosto

Physiotherapist

Jason graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a double degree in Physiotherapy and Exercise and Sports Science. He has a wealth of experience in treating musculoskeletal and sports injuries, and his strengths lie in his thoroughness and care he takes with all of his clients. As someone skilled in treating sports injuries he has an eye for correcting subtle movement pattern issues, problems with mobility, flexibility and strength. As a complement to his Physiotherapy skills Jase is also a qualified gymnastics coach, coaching kids and adults, as well as a few members at Range of Motion, where one of our locations operates from. Through his experience at Formotion Physio and coaching, Jason is an incredible person to have on your side if you are an athlete, particularly if you do gymnastics, CrossFit, weightlifting or any movement based training. As an athlete himself he understands the demands of high level training and how to manage the effects injury can have on his client’s mental and physical state. Outside of his work Jason’s passion lies, unsurprisingly, in his own gymnastics and training! He is an elite level competitive gymnast and has trained to a competitive level in sports including men’s artistic gymnastics, spring board and platform diving, trampolining and cheer leading.

Jess Loxton

Physiotherapist

Jess graduated from Curtin University with a Doctor of Physiotherapy Masters degree as well as a Bachelors degree in Exercise, Sport, and Rehabilitation Science. Jess has an array of acute injury management skills and long term sports injury rehab knowledge in both contact and non-contact sports that she utilises to help her athletes return to their on-field best. She has worked with the AFLW (Fremantle, St Kilda), WAFLW (Claremont, West Perth), PFL (Canning Vale Senior FC, Cockburn FC), NBL1 (Joondalup Wolves), BWA, Football West (North Beach Soccer Club), Indoor Netball Junior Nationals (Queensland), and the OMSB Youth International Gryphon Cup (Chris Ciriello Hockey). With this experience she has developed a passion for helping people of all ages, conditions, and backgrounds. She strives to encourage clients to be the best they can be and return to a level above and beyond their baseline function. Building confidence, educating patients, and pushing clients to reach the potential she knows they are capable of achieving is a key reason why she is involved in the health and physiotherapy space. Jess has had her own fair share of injuries and understands first-hand the physical and mental toll, as well as the importance of getting back to meaningful experiences in life, whether that be sport, playing with children (or pets), or return to work. Jess has been around sport her whole life either playing or now on the sidelines supporting her athletes. She is now a runner for leisure, navigating her way to completing her first marathon. Outside of sports you’ll find Jess at the beach, going on a hike, travelling somewhere around the world, with her head in a puzzle, or playing with her new puppy (Alfie the mini Dachshund)! Lucia Tennant

Physiotherapist

Lucia is the Principal Physiotherapist and founder of Formotion Physio which she opened in 2016. She has over 10 years of experience working in musculoskeletal Physiotherapy and the world of fitness and health, initially working in Private Practices around Perth and with Claremont and Hamersley Carine Football Club. She has spent the past 8 years working with high level CrossFit, weightlifting and running athletes around Perth and developing the business to provide high quality care. Her approach with Physiotherapy is highly practical and she ensures that she spends enough time finding the cause of injuries, rather than only treating the symptoms. She aims to empower her clients through education and exercise to create sustainable changes rather than quick fixes. While her methods are embedded in evidence based practice she does include a broader more holistic view when it comes to more difficult and complex cases, particularly those experiencing chronic pain. She is passionate about improving people’s health and fitness in a sustainable way and is committed to continually learning to stay up to date with the ever changing field of health. She loves to work with athletes to improve the way they move to break through training plateaus, as well as incorporating mindset training to help people make long term changes to their lifestyle and health. Her own background is mostly in track running, horse riding and hockey. She now enjoys exploring all forms of sport, at the moment that includes lifting weights, bodyweight gymnastics training and bouldering.
