Janine is proudly neurodivergent- and LGBQTI-affirming. She has worked with children, adolescents, young adults, adults and families on a wide range of client concerns in a variety of settings, including in-patient and out-patient.
Janine supports people with concerns related to developmental differences and neurodivergence (e.g., autism, attention and hyperactivity - ADHD, personality differences), as well as anxiety, stress, depression, adjustment, chronic health (e.g. allergies, autoimmune conditions), relationships, work-related and trauma concerns.
Janine uses an eclectic approach depending on clients' needs, drawing on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, Polyvagal and Schema Therapy.
Janine aims to create a non-judgemental, empathetic and calm space for clients to explore their concerns in a safe and supported way, and to develop skills to cope and thrive when faced with life challenges. She is passionate about early intervention to support client mental health and taking the time to fully discover client concerns. Janine values an open, collaborative approach to therapy.
